PART OF THE FREE SEMINAR SERIES BEING HELD AT THE OXFORD SENIOR CENTER
Technology is used in every facet of everyday life because it can provide the speed, connectivity, and efficiency to make tasks easier. Not surprisingly, research has shown that "frustration" with new technology made older adults unsure of their ability to use it, leaving them unmotivated to even try.
Now, more than ever, it's time to bridge the digital divide and help reduce the barriers to technology utilization.
This fourth seminar of our series will give participants access to tech-savvy neighbors who will demonstrate and teach topics (such as these) in small groups:
How to use Facebook (safely) to stay connected and reduce isolation
Attending meetings online with Zoom
Setting up a group text on your smartphone so you can stay connected to family
How to download helpful apps that can help you age safely at home. (Also: what the heck IS an "app" anyway?)
How to use the internet to find information you need quickly
Ordering books online from the Lane Library
The workshop will be held in person at the Oxford Senior Center on Tollgate Road in Oxford, OH. Snacks and drinks will be served starting at 5pm. Parking is free.
